West Lea School at the Lord’s Taverners National Boccia Finals

After winning the London Youth Games in March 2018, West Lea School has been representing London in National Boccia tournament at University of Hertfordshire on Friday the 20th of April.

Best 12 teams from 11 counties in England took part in this prestigious competition. West Lea students played well on a day. The standard of the games was so high that millimetres decided who will be the winners in each game.

After all the games competed West Lea School came 7th.
‘’We were a little bit unlucky in first couple games. However it is great result taking on the account that it was National Boccia tournament’’ – Mr Zawislak.
Well done to our two students Ben Rogers & Matthew Key that attended Boccia Referring course at Hertfordshire Sport Village and achieved Level 1 Award in Officiating Boccia - Well done to you both!
