Since it is World Senior Citizen Day, here at Active Enfield we believe it is important to nurture and appreciate senior citizens in Enfield, a generation who have been around to watch the world change and develop.

Thus, here at Active Enfield we assure you that in the coming weeks we have organised many activities and events on to get you active and widen your social circle!

If you love to dance, then come along to our social dance class, a friendly taster for over 50s of Latin and Ballroom dance. Held over different dates, these dance classes will make Friday mornings a true pleasure! Not only do they offer gentle, low intensity exercise, but they also allow you to chat and socialise…hence it being a social dance!

It will be held at the welcoming Millfield House in Edmonton, and for further details on booking, simply visit our website!

Swimming is an excellent method of exercise and guarantees a hassle-free, relaxed experience. We are offering an Over 50s swimming course, commencing on 11 September, aimed for competent swimmers with the capability of swimming lengths. By coming along to this course, you can improve your stroke technique and general swimming skills, thanks to a qualified coach who will be at hand throughout the sessions. Held at David Lloyds leisure centre, book today so that you can become a part of this thoroughly enjoyable course.

A casual course for experienced tennis players will be held from the 11 September to 11 December. This is the perfect course for already skilled players who are looking to improve components of fitness such as flexibility agility and balance. Since it is an untouched session, you can play casually and enjoy the sessions held at David Lloyds.

Commencing on the 13 September and finishing on 13 December, a Tai Chi course will be running on the green spaces at Forty Hall. Tai Chi combines defence training with meditation, therefore you receive physical benefits whilst becoming more in touch with the nature around you. Designed and held for over 50s, you can enjoy this gentle movement course and spend your Wednesday mornings at peace.

Bowls is a therapeutic, low impact exercise that can help improve fitness, coordination and confidence. Come along and enjoy this class for over 50s, where you can play a casual game of bowels with different opponents. It will be held at David Lloyds Leisure Centre, and for more information, visit
